Timeline
I can't remember the last time...
...I actually managed an entire evening like I used to. It has been a long time. TV is a rare treat these days.Eurostar!!
I've had few holidays via the Eurostar now and have to say it made the whole experience more enjoyable, no lengthy check in, no long security, and no waiting for bags, and to top that, apart from when in tunnels you get a great view and its point to point. No annoying trip FROM the airport the other end.I only fly now if its long haul and that is VERY rare. Like every couple of years rare.
How about don't litter in general!?
I smoke. I chew gum. Neither of these things end up on the pavement. I carry an ashtray with me to put the butt in if there is no bin and gum gets wrapped in paper ready to be thrown away.I have always kept hold of my rubbish. My mother taught me to put empty wrappers in my pocket until I found a bin. I cannot stand to see people litter. It drives me insane.
Veggie Boxes
Something I will definitely try to do over the coming weeks after reading these comments. Unfortunately where I live there is only really the take away and the butchers that is independent, everything else around here is owned by some sort of chain and the ones that took over the shop/post office... well with those prices they can whistle. 90p for a lemon? I don't think so.done it more before I became a student
I don't know what it is but with the pressures of Uni at the moment I just can't seem to help but cut the corners or let someone else do it either in house or a take awayeasily done IF
you have a shower that actually has some water pressure behind it unlike ours... seems to take that bit longer to rinse your hair...Where I draw the line...
if its a public building the ceilings are generally higher and when Im out and about I usually have a heavy bag with me, loaded with at least one textbook, if it goes over three floors its like going to the gym being fully clothed... not good when trying to make an impression!harder than it looks
If you share a house with people this one becomes a living nightmare, so I just have to think about the space I own and forget the rest.I do it all the time
Something I used to whinge about a lot when I lived with my mother, she would always turn the heating up then I would be sweating and wearing shorts in the middle of winter because I couldn't cope with the heat. I prefer to be layered up, though not like when I was living in a student house and your hands were cold indoors!Spontaneity
I was walking home from the bus the other day when I noticed an elderly couple struggling to load their car with an old television. They seemed shocked to get help from a young passer by but by god they were grateful. Nice to know some of the more senior community can be nice instead of distancing themselves from my generation or being rude in the supermarket.
